Keeping a pool clean and chemically balanced is a hassle and expense. When water is constantly leaking out of the pool, and sea water leaking in, the battle is impossible to win.
When a pool-owner on the south shore of Nova Scotia found themselves in this never ending struggle, they called their local PERMACRETE® dealer, George Bolivar in Bridgewater.
The pool in question is formed out of the bedrock of the Canadian Shield. Cracks in the bedrock were allowing both the pool water to seep out, and the salt water to seep in from the sea.
PERMACRETE®'s solution was to place a flexible barrier in the cracks to stop the water flow. This barrier must be flexible to allow for movement in the bedrock.

They did this by injecting the cracks in the bedrock with PERMASEAL® Flexible Resin utilizing THERMO-JET™ technology.
PERMASEAL® is a specially formulated repair material that is pressure injected in the crack to ensure penetration through the entire crack.
PERMASEAL® fills the crack and all capillaries, thermally fusing the rock together.
The results were immediate. Once the application of the PERMASEAL® was complete, the owner found that the pool water did not leak out, and that no sea water was leaking in.
