Case 101

Case 202
Stops leaks in pool in Chateau Halifax, allowing for parking spaces below.

Product:Perma-Seal®
Client:Canadian Pacific Hotels
Treatment Date:March,1992
Outcome:No leakage since application

Chateau Halifax is a Canadian Pacific Hotel. Twenty-seven years ago, a swimming pool was installed on one of the upper floors. For twenty years, the pool leaked water through a joint 4 feet up the pool wall. This water would leach through the concrete picking up calcium and depositing it on the cars parked in the parking garage below. As a result, the hotel could not rent these parking spaces.

"The leaking problem has been a source of constant frustration," commented Mr. Ian Kenny, Director of Design and Construction. They had contacted various architects and engineers over the years, but they found no solution.

Chateau Halifax had given up trying to find a solution to their problem, that is until they heard of PERMACRETE®. They contacted our Dartmouth franchise, who offered the solution of injecting the joint with PERMASEAL® Flexible Resin utilizing THERMO-JET™ technology.

PERMASEAL® is a specially-formulated repair material that is pressure-injectd to ensure penetration through the entire wall, from bottom to top, from the inside out. PERMASEAL® fills the joint or crack and all capillaaries, thermally fusing to the concrete.

"Today, I am delighted to report that PERMACRETE® has solved our problem. I would like to commend you on your quality workmanship and your obvious superior product and also thank you for finally removing this continuous burden from the Hotel", says Kenny.
